Downshifting kills my engine

My bike is a 2007 r6 running with 35k miles on her. so i replaced my spark plugs just recently along with an injectors maintenance, issue is from a stop after downshifting, when I hit 1st gear and squeeze the clutch the rpm dramatically falls and the engine goes a full stop. So its such a nuisance everytime im on stop lights or when stuck in traffic. any help please?

hey this might be an idle air control issue or a vacuum leak. or do you feel any clutch drag like an extra resitance or what? so yeah what you should do is go check your idle rpm and make sure it's set to the usual 1,200-1,400 for our r6. if nothing changed go ahead and at least take a look into the vacuum hoses for any disconnection? and yeah adjust the clutch if theres any resistance there. if all these you did bring them to the mechanic already get a scan.

probably an idle or throttle body issue, check the idle control valve, clean the throttle bodies, and inspect for air leaks. also could be a clutch cable problem. Fix it and move on

@spaceman02 I agree with the other, it seems like an engine idle issue. you need to check and adjust the idle speed and other engine parameters, It's probably best to visit a mechanic

Agreeing with everyone else above. all that stalling will annoy the hell out of me. if i were you, i am already in the mechanic making them have a look

Did you get this checked already? what did the mechanic say?

Same goes with me. If I'm not always out of budget, I wouldn't even learn all this sh!t to save costs a little and stress myself out on DIY. My god.
