Considering an 2005 R6 with a custom paint job, 20,000 miles and a stock exhaust. The seller's asking $4,500. Is this a good deal, or should I be cautious?

You should aways be cautious. Anyway, I think thats a good price to start with. Does it have any issues at all?
Haven't spotted any issues yet but will ask the seller about the bike's maintenance history and any past accidents. Better safe than sorry when it comes to a deal like this!

Yeah, another good point. Custom paint jobs can be a wildcard. I'll check if it matches the registration papers (alongside the maintenance history and past accidents) when I meet with the seller tomorrow. Don't want to end up with a bike hiding secrets under its shiny new coat!

always check the condition first, test drive it, and check the details carefully. and the price is kinda high, maybe you can ask the seller to lower it

Update y'all. Met with the seller and checked everything thoroughly. Maintenance records looked decent, no history of major accidents and the bike ran well on the test ride. The paint matched the registration papers, so no issues there. I think it's a good score but will keep an eye as I put some miles on. Thank you for all of the advice!
